From a single tea garden in the hills of Ella to one of Sri Lanka’s most diverse hospitality and leisure groups — this was a story that deserved to be told right.
We were brought in to craft a brand documentary that captured not just what Vela is today, but where it all began. Starting in 1971, when a founder stood in the hills of Ella and imagined a tea that would represent Sri Lanka to the world. What followed was decades of quiet growth, generational handover, and a relentless belief that there was always more to build.
The film traces that journey from the tea fields of Halpe to the luxury of 98 Acres Resort and Spa, the thrill of Flying Ravana Adventure Park, and the laid-back energy of Ravana Pool Club. A group of over 700 people, united under a single name. A single vision. Vela.
Our job was simple honour the roots, and show the world what grew from them.
